The Shashi Hotel bills itself as an urban resort. For the business district north of Highway 101 in Mountain View, that is a fair description. It has 200 rooms, a heated outdoor pool with a jacuzzi, a sauna and steam room, a restaurant, a cocktail bar and a coffee bar, all on North Shoreline Boulevard. Google's main campus and the Computer History Museum are within walking distance. Shoreline Amphitheatre is under a mile away. For visitors whose business is in Mountain View's tech corridor, it is one of the most complete hotels in the area.

This profile is based on the hotel's official website, checked November 1, 2026. We do not publish prices, star ratings or reviews. The hotel's site quotes guest reviews, which we do not repeat. For live rates, check the Shashi Hotel on Booking.com or book direct, where the hotel's Shashi Cash program pays cash back on room nights.

Rooms list a 65-inch 4K TV with Apple TV and Chromecast, a wireless charging station, a safe and free Wi-Fi. The Two Kings room is the obvious pick for families or colleagues sharing. The accessibility notice says the hotel has ADA rooms with accessible tubs and roll-in showers. It also says 14 rooms have hearing assistance features. Children 17 and under stay free with an adult.

Pool, fitness and work

The hotel's hours page lists these:

  • Heated outdoor pool and jacuzzi: daily, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Sauna and steam room: daily, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Fitness center: 24 hours.

The hotel also runs an activity calendar that has listed morning yoga on the pool deck, live music in the lobby lounge and a wine and cheese hour. Check the calendar for your dates rather than counting on any one event.

The hotel says it is LEED Gold certified, generates about a quarter of its power on site and has EV chargers. Ask at the desk about charger access and any fee.

Dining

  • Broma: the restaurant, open daily 5 to 9 p.m. The hotel names John Cao, formerly chef de cuisine at Rosewood Sand Hill, as executive chef. Different pages describe the menu as modern California and as Spanish, so check the current menu on the restaurant's own site.
  • The Emerald Hour: the cocktail bar, open daily 3 to 10 p.m., with live music in the early evening.
  • Carte Blanche: a coffee bar, open 6 to 10 a.m. on weekdays and 7 to 11 a.m. on weekends, with online ordering.
  • Breakfast: served daily from 6 to 10 a.m. The site does not say it is included in the rate.
  • The Marketplace: a 24-hour shop for drinks, snacks and essentials.

The site also still promotes a French restaurant called Belle Terre as "coming in 2024." Treat that listing as out of date unless the hotel confirms it is open. For more choice, our guide to where to eat near Shoreline Amphitheatre covers the area.

Who the Shashi Hotel suits

  • Visitors to Google and the other North Bayshore campuses who want to walk to meetings.
  • Concertgoers who would rather walk back from Shoreline Amphitheatre than sit in the parking lot.
  • Travelers who want resort extras such as a pool, sauna and bar without driving to Sand Hill Road.
  • Dog owners with one or two dogs up to 50 pounds.

It suits Stanford visitors less well. Campus is a 15 to 20 minute drive and the hotel is far from Caltrain. Our guide to staying in Menlo Park or Mountain View compares this side of the city line with Palo Alto.

Booking tips

  1. Check the concert calendar. Shoreline Amphitheatre shows fill nearby hotels and can change the parking price.
  2. Book direct for cash back. Shashi Cash pays 5% back on rooms, rising to 10% after 10 qualified nights, per the hotel.
  3. Ask about breakfast. The site lists hours but not whether a rate includes it.
  4. Compare before you commit. Compare Mountain View hotels on Expedia to see rates across the area for your dates.
