Aloft Cupertino is a Marriott hotel on North De Anza Boulevard, in the north end of Cupertino near Interstate 280. Apple's original Infinite Loop campus is around the corner and the Apple Park Visitor Center is a short drive east. Marriott calls the hotel high-tech, music-inspired and pet-friendly. It also lists newly renovated rooms. For a Palo Alto visitor, Cupertino works when your trip mixes Stanford with Apple, De Anza College or the South Bay. Interstate 280 links the two. Free parking makes the car part of the plan easy.

This profile is based on Marriott's official page for the hotel, checked on November 3, 2026. We do not publish star ratings or reviews. Fees are what Marriott listed that day and may change. For live rates, check Aloft Cupertino on Booking.com or book with Marriott.

Road distances are our estimates. Interstate 280 is the scenic route north, with exits at Page Mill Road for the Stanford Research Park and at Sand Hill Road for the north side of campus. It is usually less congested than Highway 101, though it still slows on weekday mornings. Our guide to commuting between Palo Alto and Cupertino compares routes and times.

Getting around without a car

This is a car hotel. Cupertino has no Caltrain station. The nearest is Sunnyvale, about 3.7 miles north, a short rideshare away. From Sunnyvale, trains reach Palo Alto in roughly 10 to 15 minutes. VTA buses run along De Anza Boulevard. Our VTA bus guide explains fares and Clipper. Expect a bus and train trip to Stanford to take more than an hour door to door.

The hotel does not run an airport shuttle. San Jose airport is the closer one at 10 miles. A rideshare is the simplest option.

Who Aloft Cupertino suits

  • Apple visitors and anyone with meetings in Cupertino or west Sunnyvale.
  • Parents and students visiting De Anza College, a few minutes south on Stevens Creek Boulevard.
  • Drivers who want free parking and an easy run up Interstate 280 to Stanford.
  • EV drivers and owners of small dogs.

Cupertino is also a good jumping-off point for the Santa Cruz Mountains. Highway 85 and Stevens Creek Boulevard lead toward Saratoga, Los Gatos and the wineries on the ridge, which are much closer from here than from Palo Alto.

It is not a good base if you plan to rely on Caltrain or want to walk to dinner in Palo Alto. For that, a hotel near a station suits you better. Our Cupertino overview covers the city's parks, Apple sights and history if you want to explore around the hotel.

Booking tips

  1. Factor in free parking. It can make this hotel cheaper overall than a Palo Alto hotel that charges $20 or more a night for parking.
  2. Watch Apple event weeks. Product launches and developer events at Apple Park can fill Cupertino hotels quickly.
  3. Ask about the pool season. Outdoor pool hours are not published and can change in winter.
  4. Book daily housekeeping if needed. Service is every other day unless you ask.
  5. Compare options. You can compare Cupertino hotels on Hotels.com to see Aloft next to the other hotels on De Anza Boulevard.
