Everlane is a clothing brand with a store at Stanford Shopping Center. It sells everyday essentials for women and men. Its pitch, in its own words, is "the most beautiful essentials, at the best factories, without traditional markups." The store opened in November 2019. California Apparel News reported at the time that it would open on November 15 as Everlane's fifth retail store. According to a company statement quoted in that story, the space was designed with a full denim wall, matte lighting and large windows that bring in natural light.

Finding the store

The center's directory places Everlane on the main level, next to Nespresso and across from Tory Burch and Madewell. If you are driving, the directory suggests the Sand Hill Road entrance near California Pizza Kitchen and Sushi Roku. The center's own mailing address is 660 Stanford Shopping Center. Individual stores at the center often list their own building or suite numbers, but the directory gives none for Everlane, so use the store's place on the map instead.

What Everlane sells

Everlane's website is organized into women's and men's collections. The brand calls what it makes essentials and says its clothing is responsibly made to last. Denim has a featured place in this store, which was designed around a full denim wall. The center's listing quotes the brand's line that it wants "the right choice to be as easy as putting on a great T-shirt."

The website also says its sustainability claims are verified, traceable and backed by third parties. The center's listing describes Everlane's partnerships with ethical factories and its "Radical Transparency" approach. Everlane also keeps a factories page on its website, which is the place to start if you want to judge those claims yourself. Collections change through the year, so the store's stock will not match the website item for item.

Store holds and online orders

Everlane's help center says its stores can put items on hold for you to purchase in the store. That is useful if you have found a size online and want to try it on before you commit. The same help article says Everlane cannot ship online orders to a store for pickup at this time, so plan on home delivery for anything you buy on the website.

Tips for visiting

The center's directory lists Everlane's hours as 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, in line with the center's regular hours. Check the center's Everlane page before a special trip, especially around holidays when center hours change.

Everlane sits in a part of the center with several other everyday clothing brands, so you can compare fits and fabrics on one short walk. Madewell is across the way and J.Crew, Banana Republic, Gap and Reformation are elsewhere in the center. Parking near the department stores fills first on weekend afternoons.
