Morgan Hill is a small city at the southern tip of Silicon Valley, with El Toro peak rising right behind downtown. It turns 120 on November 10, 2026. Over the past two decades its old main street, Monterey Road, has filled with restaurants, a wine bar, a brewery and cafes, many with sidewalk tables. It makes a relaxed day trip from Palo Alto: lunch downtown, a reservoir walk or a winery visit in the hills, then dinner on Monterey Road as the evening cools.

This guide names only places we confirmed on their own websites in early November 2026. We started from the Morgan Hill Downtown Association's member directory and checked each restaurant's own site. Several members did not post details we could confirm, so they are not here. Price notes are our rough read of posted menus. For Villa Mira Monte, the lakes and the town's history, see our Morgan Hill town guide.

How downtown is laid out

Almost every restaurant on this page sits within a 10 minute walk of the others, so park once and walk.
