Products

The salon says it uses Pureology, a professional hair care line that it describes as 100 percent vegan and sulfate-free. Sulfate-free products are often recommended for color-treated hair, so this is useful to know if you are booking color. Ask your stylist which products suit your hair before you buy any to take home.

The Book Appointment button on the salon's website opens its page on Vagaro, the booking platform, where you can choose a service and an open time. You can also call the salon at 650-321-7025. For general inquiries the contact page asks clients to send an email with their details and the best number to reach them.

The salon does not publish its opening hours on its own site, so check open times in the booking tool or call before you go. Not every stylist works every day. If you want a particular stylist, book with them by name and allow some flexibility on the date.

The site also has a promotions page. When we checked in October 2026 it said no promotions were running, so expect regular prices. A careers page is there for stylists looking to join the team.

Julian Chase suits people who want one salon for both cuts and color, from a quick men's cut to a full balayage. Its range of stylist levels gives some room on price. The bridal packages and updo services make it worth a call before a wedding or a formal event. The Brazilian Blowout is an option for anyone trying to tame frizz through the damp winter months. People who work around California Avenue can fit a cut into a lunch break or after work.
