Palo Alto is a Spanish word which means “branch” and “tall”, the city is named after the tall landmark Redwood tree called El Palo Alto. Palo Alto city is located in the San Francisco Bay Area of California, United States.  The city shares its borders with East Palo Alto, Mountain View, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Stanford, Portola Valley, andMenlo Park.

The city is an incubator to many high technology companies. Palo Alto serves as a central economic focal point of the Silicon Valley, and is home to more than 7,000 businesses employing more than 98,000 people. Palo Alto is a lively city, with a daytime population of 120,000 and at night the city is more astonishing due to its nightlife.
